[Space Dimension Controller]

In anticipation of his upcoming debut LP set to be released on R&S, Jack Hamill (a.k.a. Mr. 8040 a.k.a. Space Dimension Controller) has posted a teaser, revealing that the album will in fact be an elaboration on the sophisticated narrative he’s constructed in his previous work, not that that’s any real surprise. He explains-

“Mikrosector-50 is a wee planet with two moons around it. One of the moons has been made to look like Planet Earth, so that the people of Mikrosector-50 know where they came from – even though they’ve never been there, because it was years in the past. The other moon’s got a big security turret on it, and that’s for the big Tiraquon Security Council, and it’s where Mr. 8040 lives. It’s called Armament Moon.”

“MK Zero 900” was crafted for Benji B‘s sci-fi special on BBC Radio 1– “BBC sent over the show’s producer, and the sat in my studio while I made it in a few hours.” The track sounds like something that could have been featured in Daft Punk’s Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem, the duo’s visual realization of Discovery.
