After being dangled in front of cult-like fan’s drooling chops for months, Boards of Canada have given us the first proper taste of their forthcoming album, “Tomorrow’s Harvest”. This preview is in the form of a youtube video; the ambient single “Reach for the Dead”, set to a beautiful video -directed by Neil Krug- that spans saturated landscapes and defunct structures.

“Tomorrow’s Harvest” is out on Bleep; June 10th in Europe, and June 11th in North America.

Jacques Greene | On Your Side (ft. How to Dress Well)

On Your Side

A few hours ago, Jacques Greene shared a radio rip of his soul-inflected collaboration with How to Dress Well’s Tom Krell via Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. “ On Your Side” is the title track of Greene’s forthcoming EP and is very much in the same vein as what you heard on his recent release with Tinashe for Yours Truly and adidas orginals’ “Songs from Scratch”.

Greene’s On Your Side EP will be released digitally on June 3 and physically on July 1. If you’re eager, preorder here.

Roses (8prn remix) | Outkast

Here is 8prn‘s take on Outkast’s anthemic pop classic “Roses”. This may be the dopest remix we have heard from Patrick Holland so far…

That said–he has a handful choice cuts in his remix discography already. (His adaptation of Evy Jane’s “nothing so great” is a personal favourite.)

Thundercat | Heartbreaks + Setbacks

Stephen Bruner’s “Heartbreaks + Setbacks” is a single off of his forthcoming LP titled “Apocolypse” out via Brainfeeder on July 7th. The heart-felt single was co-produced by Brainfeeding cohorts Mono/Poly and Flying Lotus, and each artist can be heard distinctly within the track. Thundercat’s fingers skittering all over the bass guitar, Flying Lotus’s atmospheric chord progressions, and Mono/Poly’s signature ‘apreggiated’ synth lines all come together to create an emotional piece of artwork.
