Kiasmos | Thrown
Kiasmos is comprised of Icelandic post-classical composer Ólafur Arnalds and one quarter of the Icelandic electro-pop outfit Bloodgroup , Janus Rasmussen. The best-friends turned musical partners released their debut musical effort in 2009 as a 12” split entitled 65/Milo with Erased Tapes Records labelmate Rival Consoles . After some time spent working on their respective musical endeavours, Arnalds and Rasmussen came together to release “Thrown” earlier this year. The tasteful simplicity of “Thrown’s” arrangement underscores rich textures and razor-sharp synths, serving as “a reference for all [their] newer stuff,” states Rasmussen. Their upcoming Thrown EP (artwork pictured above) will be released September 24th.
