Video: James Blake | Retrograde
Suddenly I’m hit-
A meteor aflame streaks through the sky and eventually touches down on Earth in James Blake ’s latest video for “Retrograde,” the lead single off his forthcoming album, Overgrown. This is the third time that Martin De Thurah has produced a film for one of Blake’s singles- the two previously paired up on “Limit To Your Love” and “Lindisfarne”.
The video was filmed just outside Copenhagen the day before the previous Mayan calendar ended (i.e. December 21 st , 2012), a fact which illuminates the piece’s inspiration.
