The XX | Fiction (Maya Jane Coles remix)
UK-based dance producer Maya Jane Coles put her spin on “Fiction” from Co-Exist – The XX’s second full-length effort for XL Recordings . Coles layers Oliver Sim’s hushed moody vocals upon a bed of soothing instrumentation and a 4-to-the-floor groove.
Coles is gearing up to release her debut album entitled Comfort on her own I/AM/ME label this summer, a collection of 12 tracks including two that feature vocals from Coles herself.
The xx also have summer plans… They will present the first of their series of mini-festivals at London’s Hatfield House on June 22. Night + Day will feature performances from pals of the band including Mount Kimbie, Kindness, Solange and Poliça.
