Here is a little preview of Lnrdcroy’s upcoming release for Edinburgh-based Firecracker Recordings …
Hot off the heels of his debut album release via TEXT records, NYC’s Anthony Naples laid down a thirty minute mix for Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide radio show.
Brooklyn-based Infamous Boogieman put together four tracks for ASL Singles Club’s ninth offering:
“Straight out of his Troutman Street studio, Infamous Boogieman delivers four stiflingly raw grooves. Slopped up funk to blunted techno, the EP divides mentalities of repetition and difference across 4 works. Ripping guitar solos, sultry synths, and a shabby drum machine compose the inner workings of the Boogieman.”
Project Pablo’s I Want To Believe full-length cassette for 1080p Collection dropped yesterday.
If you want to check it out, XL8R posted the entire album for streaming on their SoundCloud page:

In support of his Nov. 10th Personal Momentz LP release on Phoenix G, Colin McBean, aka Mr G, has shared a jazzy house cut dedicated to his father via Mixmag:
“Well, ain’t this a surprise? Took me a year to do the last album and this one wrote itself over 10 days – my first times back in the studio ( aka The Heightz) since losing my Dad! As ever with me the music never lies and, through it, you’ll see the twists and turns I take – outpouring inner vibez and hoping to get to a new destination ………., what/wherever that may be. These are Personal Moments rough rugged and Raw….. pushing some good air. Ohh, and I can hear the mixer needs a service so yep LoFi. Now I’m feeling as though I can see light showing it rays readying me to do battle again with that thing called life……. Hope you enjoy My collection of Personal Momentz…. Dedicated to those who have lost or in-pain and suffering!”
Theo Parrish and Gilles Peterson chewed the fat for a couple hours in Gilles’s studio in London.
“Catch You By Suprise” is a spacious moody ballad from Art Department’s upcoming Natural Selection LP, which is due out Nov. 17th via their No. 19 imprint.
Vancouver-based Markus Garcia, aka Heartbeat(s) of ASL Singles Club , tossed this one out today: a jazzy dub inflected rainy day house cut entitled “Let Me Hear It”.
If you’re feelin’ it, be sure to cop that free DL.
Out November 10th 2014 via International Feel , Talamanca System’s “Balanzat” is a lush balearic bliss trip.
Supposedly, this single has been a year in the making. I’ll share a snippet of the press release because I like the story:
“A single track with four interpretations, all at the hands of a new creative connection between International Feel founder Mark Barrott , German scene veteran / Running Back boss Gerd Janson and his production partner Phillip Lauer aka Tuff City Kids. The story begins at a late dinner party at Barrott’s Ibizan hideaway in the Summer of 2013, when, in keeping with his ‘if you’re not using it, give it away’ approach to life, Mark gave Gerd his Studio Electronics ‘Boomstar 303’ synth. Gerd was so determined to repay this lavish gesture that he offered to do a remix of a track Barrott was working on. After plenty of back and forth, one remix became a full collaboration and four different versions later (gotta love German productivity), the Balanzat EP was born.”
Here is a little preview reel:
And here is a full-length stream of the Tuff City Kids remix via Boiler Room… Tuff City Kids is a duo comprised of Gerd Janson and Phillip Lauer .
Ron Morelli and Low Jack of L.I.E.S. took the decks for two hours on Rinse France this past Wednesday… Low Jack for the first hour Morelli for the second.
John Talabot takes the decks for the latest episode of Studio Brussel’s Playground radio show.
In anticipation of my upcoming EP for ASL Singles Club due out November 18th, I made a mix that flows from smooth jazzy soul through boogie and into a bit of deep house…

Sasha takes the decks for the seventh episode of Sunday School Sessions…
On “Beautiful World”, Rick Wade delivers the perfect balance of tension through the interplay of the jazzy muffled electric piano chords, dissonant disco strings, the dry lightly swung 909 groove, and the disconcerting vocal hook taken from Radiohead’s “Creep”–a track off their 1993 LP Pablo Honey .
“Secret Distant Memories” evokes feel-good after-hours disco party vibes with its sampled funky bass riff and string section.
“In The Fields” again traverses into jazzy deep house territory. Wade overlays a jarring flambuoyant Roger Daltry vocal riff taken from The Who’s “Barbara O’Riley”.
The Fields EP is out on Beatport this coming Friday the 13th via Tokyo-based Unknown Season . It will be available on wax in November.
Seth Troxler waxes philosophical over top of Deetron’s surly groove that ebbs and flows over six minutes.
Steve Bug provides a remix and an instrumental.

Soul Of Hex is a Tijuana-based duo comprised of 4004 & Sebastien Vornhaus.
Their Lip Reading EP, which features remixes from Larry Heard, Vin Sol and Ny*Ak, is due out October 14th via Mexico City’s CVMR imprint.
1. Lip Reading (Original Mix)
2. Lip Reading (Larry Heard Jazzy Dub Remix)
3. Lip Reading (Larry Heard Midnight Remix)
4. Lip Reading (Vin Sol Remix)
5. Lip Reading (Ny*Ak Remix)
Here is Chicago house legend Larry Heard’s Midnight Remix, which is available in full for streaming and download via XLR8R. This is my favourite mix of the bunch. The track is moody, laid-back, and expansive. Heard employs a palette of classic vintage drum machine sounds and warm crystalline synths.
