Supreme Cuts have been on my radar for some time now, releasing tunes that have been well rep’d by blogs all over the place.
The Chicago production/DJ duo caught my attention especially recently, releasing a number with fast-rising Brooklyn-born and Barbados-residing rapper Haleek Maul , and featuring Charlotte, NC rapper Deniro Farrar .
‘The Dummy’ represents the first glimpse of what will be in store for Chrome Lips a mixtape collaboration between Supreme Cuts and Maul, due August 21st via Mishka .

A couple of hours ago, Azealia Banks donated this track to thirsty fans. She adds her characteristically enforcing femininity to a confident and seamless interpretation of Eprom ‘s “Regis Chillbin”. This may or may not be her last rap track, as last week she deleted her twitter account, and stated that she will now focus on being a vocalist instead of a rapper. Also last week, she told MTV News that her forthcoming Fantasea mixtape will be heavy on hip-hop, and will be featuring the industry pillar, Styles P .

Black Hippy member, Ab Soul , teams up with eccentric, Detroit-based rapper Danny Brown , and vocalist Jhene Aiko to bring us the ominous and illuminati-inspired single, “Terrorist Threats.” Top Dawg Entertainment (Black Hippy’s label) recently announced a deal in which they made with Interscope Records - “Terrorist Threats” is the birth child of these two labels collaborating. Dave Free of Digi+Phonics can be credited for the arid, and ill-omened production. I found the content of the track to be very dark, as Ab Soul proclaims “I seen an image of Hitler in the picture when the twin towers dropped.” “Terrorist Threats,” Heavy collaboration blended with sinister ideals, results in a passionate hip-hop track that deserves to be on heavy rotation in anyone’s library.
