Dusky | Mr Man
On “Mister Man”, forthcoming on Anjuna Beats , London-based production duo Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman, a.k.a. Dusky , deliver a dreamy contemplative oceanic deep house cut. Over top of a sparse UK-garage rolling groove, they layer warm deep synths, piano chords drenched in shimmering reverb, and snippets of indiscernible vocal phrases that echo off into voidness. The piano is vaguely reminiscent of Debussy’s Suite Bergmanesque – 3 for me.
