Even since the beginning of dubstep these guys have been mixing  only the most disgusting of Bass music.

Ego Thieves have been responsible for the Dubfluencial mix-tapes since day one. Impeccably fused. These are only some selections from the 9th edition.

This is their newest Dubfluencial album with plenty of exclusive tracks as always.

The Others

Out of Caspa’s notorious DUBPOLICE crew comes The Others , yet another pair of London-based deviants. The duo (producers D-Code & DeXterous) began dominating the scene four years ago, and through their noticeably distinct sound, quickly found themselves implanted as a pillar of the scene. If these two are not already on your radar, give them a listen. They’re worth your time.

And on behalf of those who attended, BIG thanks to them for storming Venue last Sunday, along with some other members of the crew: Caspa , Emalkay , and Matty G . Our ears are still ringing.

Gravity – The Others

Bushido – The Others

Datsik and his recent collaborations

Datsik is one of our all time favorite producers.  A fellow BC native, Datsik played a set at Shambhala 2010 I don’t think I will forget any time soon. He played a 330 am set after a terrorizing onslaught from Excision earlier on.  Datsik closed with Doctor P’s remix of “Last Ones Standing”  as the rain poured down and washed away the sweat off our faces after an epic night of wiling out in the Village.  (Not to mention the PK sound.)

Datsik – Mechano

Datsik & Funtcase – Brock Out

Datsik & Subvert – Heartstopper

EXCISION | Shambhala 2010 Mix

I’m not usually inclined to post mixes.  But this one is just too good to pass up.  For those of you who couldn’t make it this year:

Fresh as it gets | New HOOKY Remix straight from the source

We’re clearly dealing with one sick individual here-

If you haven’t heard of Hooky (London) yet, stick this in your car stereo, crank it, and consider yourself schooled.  We  received this directly from Hooky this afternoon. We would like to thank him for considering us first. Don’t play this for your mom.

Make You Pop (Diplo) – Hooky Dubstep Remix

We’ve been following this dubstep tyrant for a while, and we’re convinced that he’s got a big future ahead of him.

Here are some earlier Hooky classics so you can familiarize yourself:

Working All Day – Hooky (original mix)

Jackpot – Hooky (original mix)

Big thanks to Hooky!  Please keep us posted on all your latest musical endeavors.  All the best,

- Wolfey

A little historical background-

“In a deep bunker in south east London British troops stumbled across something worse than chemical weapons, they discovered music producing equipment capable of producing baselines that could shift contour lines and cause every natural disaster at the same time. The equipment was seized by the troops and locked away in a research facility in an unknown location. Much research was done on the equipment but its creator is still unknown.

However, the movement had already spread and the seized equipment was eventually stolen from the research facility in 2009 and carted off in a white van. The equipment was then sold out of the back of the white van in an alley in Catford, South East London to the dodgiest character known in this threatening music movement… Hooky…”

crimps&cotcha

Having just emerged this year out of Horsham, England this dubstep/DnB duo have wasted no time in establishing a solid reputation for producing some proper guttural bass. The pair has succeeded in injecting their tracks with such energy that you just can’t deny the vibrations pulsing through your limbs. Their ominous sound, already compared to the likes of Datsik, continues to resonate in the eardrums long after you’re done listening. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to what’s to transpire from these two.

Take a peek at their soundcloud and the tracks below.
