SpringerParker | Libretto (Rival Consoles Remix)
Rival Consoles , known to friends and family as Ryan Lee West, has shrewdly reworked “Libretto,” the lead single from German duo SpringerParker ‘s forthcoming record, There Are Places in Our Heads One Can Travel To. Ryan suggests that you check out the original as well “for some really thoughtful, atmospheric composition.”
In his remix, the London-based producer initially entrances with artful cuts of opera singer Lilly Jørstad’s ethereal vocals before diving into his own interpretation, where only the vocals and piano are retained from the original. Ryan blankets “Libretto” with his own sounds- hazy, quivering synths, a charming guitar line, and crunchy, atmospheric noise.
