The newest edition of BBC 1′s fantastic series, Diplo & Friends featuring San Francisco tech house god Justin Martin and Dirtybird label boss and tastemaker Claude VonStroke is two hours of straight up fun. In stark contrast to their authoritative, commanding stage presences, this mix highlights a different facet of these legends; their undeniable sense of humour. Scattered throughout an impeccable selection of tracks are hilarious shout outs from Dj’s, impromptu birdcalls and general riffing on the tropes of these radio mixes – at one point Claude asks for a rewind on the drop of Justin’s massive new remix of Smoke Wine by French Fries, and Justin flat out refuses.
