Markus Garcia, one half of the recently hiatus-ed LOL Boys , has washed his hands clean of a few things in the past month; a long-distance artistic relationship, Montreal winters, and jazz cymbal samples (well, at least for now).

He has now relocated to Vancouver, and this change is marked by an intriguing collection of solo releases under a new moniker, heartbeat(s) .

While his music maintains a similar pop-house cheek to his former work, there is no doubt a major diversion towards a more angular and funky club sound with this fresh batch of tracks. Expect more things to come from this, now West-coast, house-man, in the coming months… as surely as the heart beats (lol?).
