James Blake | Digital Lion (ft. Brian Eno)
If you missed it, last week the good people over at 1-800-Dinosaur , an imprint run by James Blake and his friends, debuted a second track from Blake’s forthcoming LP, Overgrown (album art above). In his latest, Blake’s gentle vocals are aptly juxtaposed against a menacing backdrop of complex and multifaceted electronic ambiance, reminiscent of much of Eno’s past work.
If you tuned into Benji B’s Radio 1 show last week, you most likely caught a listen to another of Blake’s unreleased tracks. A radio rip of “Voyeur (dub)” floated around on the blogosphere for a minute or two before being taken down- here’s to hoping it resurfaces soon.
Overgrown is out April 8th via Republic .
