Hannes Rasmus | Wir Sind Hier Nicht in Detroit, Dirk
Hamburg-residing audio engineer and producer Hannes Rasmus is the newest addition to Gold Panda ’s label Notown and currently has a debut EP in the works, set to be released later this year. Little else is known about the producer other than the fact that he has a gift for crafting stylistically pristine minimal techno. “Wir Sind Hier Nicht in Detroit, Dirk” (which roughly translates to “We’re not in Detroit, Dirk”) unfolds at just the right pace, evolving into a perfectly buoyant groove that pays tribute to the raw, stripped-down sounds of techno that emerged in the early 1990s.
