FaltyDL ‘s stunning rework of “Replica” is an unreleased track from Dog in the Fog , Oneohtrix Point Never ‘s most recent digital EP of four collaborative remixes from his record released in 2011. (“Replica” is both the lead single and the name of last year’s album.)
Drew Lustman cunningly gives his remix a bit more of a dynamic presence. Through the incorporation of bongo drums, Roger Robinson’s chopped up vocals, notes distinctly reminiscent of Boards of Canada, and a four to the floor beat FaltyDL crafts a more dance-floor oriented, yet still low key, tune.
Dog in the Fog was unveiled yesterday.
