Lapti | Orchestral Pit
Moscowian beat-smith, Lapti , tossed this one out early yesterday morning. I’m not sure how exactly he learned to manipulate the sound tracks of old films into his unique brand of instrumental hip-hop, but some things are best left unanswered, I suppose. His alias is the Russian word for a “peasant’s shoe.” The irony is delicious because his sound has much more akin to a fresh pair of Chucks than it does to a gypsy’s dilapidated slipper. Go ahead, try ‘em on.
