Excision | X-Rated

X-Rated has landed.  Here is a little taste of this collection of pure Shambhala Village nostalgia, including Datsik’s and Excision’s collaboration “Deviance”; easily one of our favorite dance-floor tunes of the past year.

The release is a departure from Excision as we have known him in the past. On X-Rated, Abel includes some grinding electro along side his signature dubstep sounds.

This native of Kelowna, B.C. has come a long way since first breaking into dubstep in the latter half of the 2000s.  He has one of the toughest sonic signatures in the genre, which is embodied by his imprint, Rottun Recordings .

This is Abel’s first release on Deadmau5′s label Mau5strap.  Currently the two Canadian DJ’s are headlining the Meowingtons Hax Tour together along side Zedd, DJ Aero, and Tommy Lee.
