Rhye | Open (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)
As is the case with each member of the Wedidit brethren, Ryan Hemsworth has an uncanny knack for crafting one excellent remix after another. The Canadian producer has been on a flawless run since he debuted his Frank Ocean bootleg last summer and his latest, a take on Rhye ’s “Open,” fits neatly into his unblemished record.
To borrow from RMBA - “Actually, this song is too good for an edit. But Ryan Hemsworth pulls it off.” While more or less keeping the heavy-hearted vocals intact, Hemsworth overlays the track with a mixture of warm, luxurious synths, skittering high hats and a strong, palpitating bassline.
