Nouveau Palais | Avant Gang EP

[brought to you by the RBMA]

The Red Bull Music Academy brings you the collaborative effort of Lunice , Ango , and Prison Garde , as well as that of an onslaught of contributors; Sinjin Hawke , Monolithium , HxbD & Self Evident , Bobbi Kay , and RBMA alumni, Canblaster and Salva , in anticipation of their Mutek showcase this Thursday night. You’ll be happy to know that the healthy 14 track extended play is also free of charge. There’s no stopping these guys. (The Canblaster / Sinjin and Salva additions are particularly fantastic, if I do say so myself.)

TNGHT | Bugg’n

[Lunice & Hudson Mohawke]

TNGHT is a fresh project from producers Hudson Mohawke and Lunice . From what we hear, the duo premiered the act at this year’s SXSW and, as one could expect, made an excellent first impression.

The two have recently announced that their debut self-titled EP will be available late-July, jointly released through Warp and LuckyMe . If you weren’t able to catch them down south, get acquainted below with the first taste of their release: the wonky, bass-driven “Bugg’n.”

Machinedrum | Alarmaa

[Alarmaa EP]

Travis Stewart aka Machinedrum was nice enough to give this gem of a track away for the free LuckyMe Christmas Advent, which the label released back in December. The highly acclaimed Glasgow label celebrated the festivities by giving away one free remix/unreleased/rare track from their astounding assortment of acts listing from Jacques Greene , Hudson Mohawke , Lunice , Mike Slott & Rustie .

Alarmaa made its way around the Boiler Room with it’s in your face drums, bubbling synths and heavy winding bass. Don’t be surprised if this tune destroys your dancefloor.

Baauer | Dum Dum

Baauer is a 22 year old Brooklyn born, future crunk producer. About eight years ago, he started out producing house and electro tunes but gradually combined his love of hip-hop instrumentals with the energy of house music. With both hip-hop and house genres at his disposal, he has developed a near perfect formula comprised of crunk-dripped, lex luger hi-hats and the obvious essential component: bass.  The following songs come highly recommended by TNGHT ( Hudson Mohawe & Lunice ) and Rustie , .

“Sheer trap-drenched tracks with otherworldly sounds and spine-chilling bass-isms that make you want to shout in your deepest DJ-drop voice, ‘ Damn son, where’d you find this??’”
